Insulin pill for Type 1 Diabetics?

That is a possibility according to a press release that I've received.

The major issue when it comes to oral pills for type 1 diabetes is that the stomach acids and enzymes will just break them down but now scientists are developing a coating which could prevent this from happening.

According to the press release "Several insulin pills are now in various stages of clinical trials, and proof of concept may allow them to move into more rigorous clinical testing. Novo Nordisk is in the process of testing its final product, which is a closely guarded secret."

Whether these pills will come to the market and just how long that might take are questions that don't yet have answers but one thing is certain, if they want volunteers for trails, I'll give it a try.
